On 2 February 2027, the Czech Indoor Gala will once again be part of the highest World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold category, joining the exclusive company of the world’s most prestigious indoor meetings. Tickets are already on sale.
For the fourth consecutive year, the Czech Indoor Gala will be part of the Gold level of the World Athletics Indoor Tour and is consistently ranked among the highest-rated meetings in this prestigious series. Every year, fans at the Ostrava Athletics Arena can look forward to an exciting spectacle featuring the biggest stars of both international and Czech athletics, while Czech athletes have the opportunity to test themselves against top-class international competition.
At this year’s Czech Indoor Gala, Hungarian representative Attila Molnár even set a European record in the 400 metres. New meeting records were set in 9 of the 12 events on the programme, while five athletes who later went on to win their respective Tour titles also competed in Ostrava.
Among the Czech athletes, Lurdes Gloria Manuel, who later became the world indoor champion, was particularly impressive. Sprinter Karolína Maňasová, pole vaulter Amálie Švábíková and fellow 400-metre runner Tomáš Horák also made their mark, with all of them praising the unique atmosphere inside the arena.
